Keeping our residents independent for longer through Connection

Mar 1, 2022 | 1 comment

Ingenia Care is relaunching as Ingenia Connect in 2022, and our new and improved Connect program is designed to support our residents to live independently by proactively connecting them to services and support.

Ingenia Connect builds relationships with local health and community services to tailor support to individuals, removing the need for residents to find services themselves. Our residents choose the provider they feel most comfortable with, giving peace of mind to families and then the Connect team can assist with their application process from start to finish.

Ingenia Gardens and Ingenia Connect Portfolio Manager Madonna Jackson said that the new Ingenia Connect program has been built on the considerable learnings gained from delivering care programs over the last 14 years.

“Historically, the average length of stay for Ingenia Gardens residents is 3.3 years, but the most recent resident data has shown that this increases to 4.5 years for residents who are part of the Connect program. We have had proven success with our program, and I’m really excited to see what we can achieve this year.

“Aging Australians often feel trepidation and fear when it comes to the idea of ‘care’, but by addressing health and aging sooner, we can actually empower residents to remain independent and delay the decline in health that often leads to higher care needs,” Ms Jackson said.

Working with key partners such as Silver Chain, myHomeCare and Five Good Friends who all service different geographical regions, our vision is to establish relationships with all residents by enabling their independence for longer.

Our elderly friend is about to begin residence at ingenia Chambers Flat. Can you please tell me what is available for him in the way of support and connection? Thank you. Sincerely, Ngaio 🤗
